Intaglio encompasses a range of printing and printmaking methods where

the image is engraved into a surface, and these engraved lines or

recessed areas hold the ink.

My preferred surfaces or matrices for intaglio include zinc plates for etching, tetrapack, or plastic for drypoint.

What captivates me about this technique is the intricate process — from preparing the matrix to the moment of engraving, I use the electrolytic method involving water, salt, and electricity, to the meticulous inking process.
